She has worked in both the public and private sector, including holding senior roles at the Capital Markets Authority, Nairobi Securities Exchange Limited, Renaissance Capital (Kenya) Limited and Equity Investment Bank Limited.
Kamani specializes in equity and debt capital markets, structured finance and debt restructuring, regulatory matters such as licensing and compliance audits and emerging segments of fintech, payment systems, cryptocurrency, e-money and e-commerce.

Some of the Big Deals Kamami has handled include KCB Group Plc takeover of the National Bank of Kenya, restructuring of Shelter Afrique debt, investment by Commercial International Bank (CIB) of Egypt in Mayfair CIB Bank, WPP Pls on disposal of Kantar (research and marketing) business in Africa among others.
She holds Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Laws degrees (LLB) from the University of Nairobi and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Certified Public Secretary CPS(K) and Certified Trainer in Corporate Governance having been one of the first people certified by the Centre for Corporate Governance as a trainer.
At IKM Advocates, owing to her vast experience in executive training and board evaluation, Kamami has also been tasked with the development of and training in new practice areas within the firm.
